Ambulia (Limnophila sessiliflora)
Limnophila Sessiliflora is a tall, adaptable variety well-suited to background placement. Due to the large surface area of its feathery leaves, L. sessiliflora does not demand a lot of light, but care must be taken when working with well-illuminated tanks to avoid algal outbreaks. High lighting will prompt lateral growth along the substrate whereas low lighting will induce vertical climbing to the water’s surface. This plant grows quickly and needs regular trimming. While it may be prone to iron deficiency when grown in high tech environments, this plant otherwise rarely shows symptoms of nutrient deficiency and adapts well to nutrient-poor waters.
